HOTELS
Location of hotels in New York City is important and during the NYCM time, hotel accommodation options are limited. We have selected Deluxe Class hotels, offering the best value.
Deluxe Class Hotel
Our Deluxe Class hotel for 2026 is: Marriott Marquis: 1535 Broadway, Times Square. A central hotel, in the middle of where you want to be.
AIRLINES
We offer flight options on various airlines: - When planning your flights, please take note that a Sunday return flight is unlikely to be an option due to the race that only starts at 11:00 on Sunday.

GUARANTEE OF ENTRY
To be secured of one of the guaranteed TCS New York City Marathon entries we require the following:
- A deposit of R20,000.00, and
- A copy of valid passport.
Cost Of Race Entry Travel Packages
Please take careful note of what is included and excluded in the packages. All packages are kept as basic as possible to keep costs
down and to enable you to decide on optional extras. Payment dates are as follows:
- 60% of full package paid by 1 June 2026.
- Balance payable not later than 1 August 2026.
- Invoice will include listed payment dates.

- Transfers – Airport/Hotel: To be discussed & finalised. Cost will depend on the extent of the group.
- Extended trips e.g. Disney World, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington.
- Should you prefer a personalised itinerary, we suggest arriving in New York no later than early morning on 30 October 2026.
- This will enable you to register with the group on Friday morning/midday, 30 October.
Excluded
- Passport and Visas, all other personal documentation.
- Airfare Johannesburg/New York/Johannesburg only, were listed and/or on request.
- Additional connecting fees apply for those departing from Cape Town, Durban or other SA Cities. SA and USA airport and security

Race Week Itinerary
26-30 October:
Arrival and Hotel Check-in, subject to TCS New York City Marathon Package Booking
30 October:
• Race Material Collection Day 14h00: Meet the Sportsvendo representative in the hotel lobby and depart to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center for Race Material Collection and Expo.
31 October:
• Race Material Collection & Leisure Day 11h00 – 14h00: Those who have not yet collected Race Materials, meet the Sportsvendo representative in the hotel lobby and depart to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
1 November:
• Race Day 04h45: Meet Sportsvendo representative in the hotel lobby and proceed for transportation to the TCS New York City Marathon Start Area.
Excursions Suggested, Places of Interest
First time visitors to New York City: Consider taking one of the “Hop-on, Hop-off” Sight Seeing Bus Trips, for a good orientation and introductory to Manhattan, New York City.
Consider a Broadway Show.
- Times Square: Ideal for photo opportunities and shopping
- Central Park: Walking, cycling, or relaxing
- Empire State Building: Panoramic city views
- Metropolitan Museum of Art or Guggenheim Museum
- Brooklyn Bridge: A scenic walk, worth doing during the day or with sunset
- Staten Island Ferry: Complimentary views of, and visiting the Statue of Liberty
- Rockefeller Plaza: Top of the Rock observation deck and surrounding attractions
- Shopping: Macy’s, Bloomingdales, 5th Avenue, Columbus Circle

Terms And Conditions
- All prices are per person and are subject to availability and are current at the time of printing, based on the rate of currency exchange, airline, and government fees.
- All prices (in respect of New York City Marathon Entry Fees and Hotel Accommodation) are subject to the Rand/Dollar exchange rate when payments are received and payments are made.
- Airline fares are subject to change until paid in full and the ticket is issued.
- Cancellation fees for hotel accommodation are applicable, and the cancellation percentage depends on the date of cancellation and varies from hotel to hotel.
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- An entry for the NYCM is only available as part of a tour package. A package need not be one of the above-mentioned packages but can also be a personalised itinerary or arranged to coincide with a business trip or holiday.
- The NYCM fees are non-refundable under any and all circumstances.
- The Marathon may be cancelled due to factors beyond NYRR’s control, including without limitation civil unrest, terrorism (or threat of terrorism), government regulation, decree, order, mandate, or decision, severe weather, or other factors that, in NYRR’s sole judgement, threaten the safety and/or well-being of participants, staff, public, or volunteers.
- Sure Giltedge Travel, in conjunction with Sports Endeavours International, acts only as an agent between the client(s)/passenger(s) and the service provider(s). As such, Sure Giltedge Travel in conjunction with Sports Endeavours International cannot be held liable for any damage, delay, loss, accident, or inconvenience caused by the principal or by events outside of our control.
USA VISAS
SA passport holders require a visa to enter the USA. All other nationalities to please check. Entry requirements and procedures can be viewed on.
Also:
- Ensure that your (valid) passport has at least 4 blank pages and that it is valid for at least 6 months after your stay in the USA.
- Allow sufficient time to apply for a USA visa.
